Mha
Puja is celebrated by the Newar community on the fourth day of the Tihar. This
day is New Year according to Nepal Sambhat.
Mha
Puja is celebrated by performing a ritual puja to purify and empower one’s body
and soul. Family members sit in a row on the floor with mandalas (sand painting
of a sacred circular diagram) drawn in front of them. They then follow various
rituals and light the mandala to purify and thank the body they live in.
